I see my daddy
Only in my dreams
I see my daddy
Only when I sleep
I see that photo
And just plain want to weep

There is no pain bigger
Than the loss of one you love
Nothing else will matter
Til after about a month
After death
There is something you must see
Everything happens for a reason
All is meant to be

Not so many people
Have experienced this so young
I will remember that very day
All for far too long
I love, miss, and need my daddy
I wish I had him back
I know that just can't happen
And that's a painful fact

The author's comments:
This poem contains my very heart and soul within each letter, each word, each line. It was inspired by my my dad's death last year, Sept. sixteenth. I have never experienced such grief or torturous agony, and so I put my feelings into poetry. This is also the poem that started my love for poetry. I love you daddy.
