The Street Cleaner

The street cleaner
Came by today.
Cranking noises out
Of it’s loud,
Yet productive,
Machinery.
Awakening me
From my sleep,
And bringing me into
A state of complete awe;
At how this piece
Of machinery,
Can clean up the street
And rid it of it’s dirt,
And other dirty features.
If only it could rid
The streets of the
Untreatable dirtiness,
Of the drugs and alcohol,
And the violence.
If only…
