My Light
When through the dark a light arose,
Burning slow and steady.
A light so new yet familiar still,
confides that I am ready.
Luminescent and glowing strong,
It had been there all along.
For I had been blinded by the dark,
That at first I could not see.
You are in every beat of my heart,
And you'll always be the light shining through the dark.
You are my light.
