You can see the flames rise over the hill.
The wind shifts ever so slightly.
You can smell the smoke as it wafts through the air.
You stop at stare at what should be a blue sky, but it's filled with grey smoke clouds.
Cajun nudges you with his head, bringing you back to leading him into his temporary horse stall.
You watch as what used to be known as tornado alley has now been changed to brush fire way.

The author's comments:
On April 4th, the town of Brimfield, MA was called to Paige Hill for a brush fire out of control. This fire started around noon, and continued to claim 50 acres for the next 9 hours. The flames claimed over 50 acres.
