Trust
Trust, in any form, is a tricky little devil--
Trust used to deceive is of the easiest kind;
It's given away freely like oxygen to breathe,
So that when someone has grown use to the feel of the deepest breath, the liar can smother them to near death
Trust earned in a pure form is one of the rarest things;
To trust someone whole heartedly and unconditionally is as misinterpreted as true love in our modern days of cyber war
Trust isn't always fair, compassionate or simple;
It's lovely in its own divine right, no madder the destruction it brings with it
Trust, like love, like happiness-- like BREATHING-- is something that every human craves, whether they choose to accept it or not.
