The Non-Existent Future of Love After Aristotle Came and Went
In a flash you were gone as I flipped through the pages of ancient books
trying to find the story of us.
Maybe I am mistaken.
Our story instead came from my imagination.
But then again ancient literature is as fake as the rest.
Fill my glass.
Let me drink it all to remember what we told ourselves we would forget.
I want to add words to our sorrow only to erase them again and again.
Until the pages of this ancient book are destroyed and we can forget like we did all the rest.
