In the end.
She weeps
And she
Roars
All silently
Because
She feels pain
A different way
Than everybody else
And they see her,
But they don't really see her
And they hear her,
But they never quite understand her,
And they feel her presence,
But she's not really there
And she feels the blade
All too well
To stop and
Maybe take a breather,
Because she is breathing
At least better than before
And she likes it
And she's safe,
But in danger
And she's aware,
But not enough
Not enough to save her
From herself
And she does care,
She cares too much
And she's keeping them
Safe
By staying away and hurting
Quietly,
Because she's only here
Temporarily anyway,
She's like an old placeholder
In a book,
Torn and moved too many times,
But she knows the words and
She knows the endings
And she knows how to
Believe
And she believes that
Butterflies are angels
And an afterlife is waiting
For her
Somewhere safer than here
And they don't need to
Worry,
Because she'll be okay
In the end.
