boston: spring 2011 MAG
blue veins edged with lichen
sketched into marble to document the lives,
anonymous bodies rotting beneath
our feet, mine cloaked
in blue silk, treading treacherously
across mud that spills
across my path burdening
me making me step out of my way
skip across that gravestone
forcing me to notice
the people i walk across, stomp across
my feet treading the hair
that is the grass
the robin searches for worms
the taxi speeds
away
