Silence
You look at me with expectation
But adhesive crusts between my lips
My expression open to interpretation
I would to speak, and yet will slips.
Like bees the words buzz in my mind
A thousand answers to be spoken
And yet they always hide behind
“I’m fine, how are you?” – a common token.
I wish you could read in my eyes
The truth which my lips deny.
Will you smile and believe my lies
While my heart screams silent its reply?
