My Tears
Tears fall like the rain
Not yours, but mine
One for every time
Life has been cruel
For every time
My heart was shattered
One for every piece
That was left behind
Streams dance on the floor
Escalating to rivers
With currents too strong
To let me live
You wash in next to me
A helpless victim
A lively witness
Who tried to save me
Do they have any idea
Of how much pain
They put me through
Or how much rainfall
Down poured
On innocent people
Do they know
They ruined a life
My heart aches
Bruises all over me
From all the punches
They took upon me
Poor defenseless kid
They must’ve thought
When they were done
Sucking the life from me
Revenge may have
Crossed my mind
Once or twice
But they
Held the bigger stick
With blood
Stained into it
From others withdrawal
Hail still pours
From my broken
And beaten eyes
Still holding onto their sight
I may be down
But resurrection
Is prominent
In my future
