Hope Turning MAG
In the morning
The sun will rise above
Flattering clouds
The sky will protest a little
As it is cajoled out of serenity
Water will turn slowly from
Mysterious to welcoming
People try to remember or forget
The hours before
Hold onto the hope of diminishing time
Routine takes hold of possibility
Turning dreams into refreshing
Reality
Time to laugh
Or cry, be happy or wish to
Go back in time and
Change it all
But with the first sun-touched soul
Comes a cementing of the night
And day before
Erasing second chances as
It wipes clean the slate of
Forgotten beginnings
But if you look far enough past
Your moment
You will see the sheer impossibility
Of moments you will have
If only you hold onto what you
Let go.
