I was in that room once more
I was in the room once more
When people surrounded the bed, when they were
Saying their last goodbye just before,
When I walked in and took his hand.
Tears started down my face
Just like they had two years ago
I could barley talk, yet I managed
To say between the tears, I love you.
You could hear a pin drop
Until my mom burst out with tears
My eyes blurred and sounds were muffled.
All I could think was this is thee end.
The doctor came in, we all held our breathe
With her eyes she spoke all,
Sorrow filled her face as she nodded her head.

I was in the room once more,
When people surrounded thee bed, when they were
Saying their last goodbyes just before,
When I saw my daddy take his last breath.
