Cream and Mocha
Walking down the street,
Our feet
Keeping their own beat,
They stare with ignorant eyes
At our folded hands,
They judge and criticize,
They don’t understand,
They’re filled with despise,
His skin like cream
And mine like mocha,
Both our races
Are against us,
I constantly fight,
With the people
That are white,
We don’t care,
We’re not afraid,
Let them stare.
