The Love Within
You are being used,
invisibly abused,
This truth may be in the shadows,
skeptisism in the gallows,
I try to expose this hidden truth,
For with me the sun shines,
Directly upon what you can't see.
Stuck in denial, you can't believe me,
Though I try to show you what is real,
You shun my words to keep the bliss,
For you can't destroy what you still feel.
Cloaking bombshell conceals bitter reality,
Ticking timebomb, its end is near,
No killswitch in sight, yet you still fight,
You fear the inevitable,
Yet you refuse to run.
Realization hits and it strikes hard,
Uplifts you out of your lovely trance,
Into a rather bitter truth, all alone,
To leave you destroyed, collasped from a once strong stance.
You now are thrown upon your trembling knees,
Ebon encased clouds of red storm upon your frozen hands,
Warm tears melt through ice-cold skin,
Warm tears, derived from your very heart,
Sent by the love that you still have,
The love that shall never be destroyed despite it all,
This love, the love within you, still lives on,
As a mere candle within the blackened loss.
but it lives on,
And it shall never die.
