A War Cry Homeward Bound
You tear me apart
And say it’s okay
You wrap me in your arms
And throw me away
As the tears shed
And the hateful words are said
I silently think to myself
Why are you doing this to me?
Why can’t you see?
That your killing me inside
I put on my brave face
So no one can see what I have to hide
It’s a stupid fight
Yet we use all our might
Adding to the never ending war
As the canons are fired
And the guns shots are sounded
All you can think of is how you can hurt me more
But while your blinded by rage
You never stop to think
So when the treaty is signed
And the hypocrite returns
I’m expected to smile
As if all forgotten
