The Mask
Where is the mask
Which we all wear
That hides our anguish and despair
The one we all use to hide
All the fear we have inside
We all wear masks
Cuase were afraid
Show our emotions face
Hearts never on our sleeves
Not even truly greave
I implore thee to be one true self
Be nobody else
Let no one speak there mind
To confine the soul you left behind
So thee must stop to live the lie
Take of the mask beneath which you hide
Coward
Coward
Let yourself go
Forget facades
Let emotion flow
Here is the mask
Which you wear
That hides your anger and your tears
The one we all use to hide
All the fear you have inside
So collapses our little game
I have no more shame
Take of your little perfect mask
As the fairy tale collapses
Through the dark stormy clouds
Monster emerges from shroud
What’s under the mask I ask,
Isn’t pleasant, thee says aghast
He’s not perfect, she’s a lie
Where all built on lies
