Snake Eyes

spin
tip the feet
to the left
to the right,
cast the lots,
and set the eyes,
upon those spinning
cubes life settles upon
those dots never seem to quiet
6, 2, 1 and back again
the numbers waltz
upon the stage
wildly
they recklessly
spin across the table
with breaths
in their embrace
is the slightest flavor
those tricky tempers,
laughing all the way as they finally settle,
For the snake eyes, that look out so.
