Veterans that didn’t make it
People whose souls couldn’t take it
I have people who should’ve stayed but went away


In me I have
People who had heart attacks
People who should’ve watched their backs
Children who never had a chance


In me I have
People just like you and me
Who didn’t have another day to see
Now they are in a home unknown that they will never get out of


In me I have
People killed by love of hate
People we should appreciate
People that we love and they love us back

In me I have
People left us asleep
People who had no food to eat
People who were on a plane on what seemed like a normal September day

In me I have
People lost that are loved
People that now sit above
Watching you and me


In me I have
Hatred
Love
Peace

All this in me
