The Ache
I let the ache consume me;
memorizing the routes,
the blood in my veins take
covering every square inch
of my body.
I let the ache,
wash over me; flood
my thoughts, chilling
me to the bone, until
I fall asleep.
And dreams dance over,
my tired, weak mind and
erase the gloomy ache;
putting it to rest.
