Insanity
She is just a slave
In the eyes of the people
A caged bird wanting
To free her wings and soar
Chained and shackled
Growing angrier by the second
Ready to face the world
But no one will let her go
The perfect child she must be
The pressure of it drowns
Pulling and shaking vigorously
Doing no good to the knots
No one cares about doing your best
You must be better than everyone else
Or like her you will
Stay a slave for all life
Words of others choke her
Just their presence brings chills
All she wants to do is scream
But she can’t because it brings noise
She tries crying, but can’t
Even the tears are afraid to come out
Her mind bubbling and boiling
Waiting for the second to burst
She wishes to be kept alone
To stay in her little hole
Only to come out
When everyone around has gone
They call her crazy
They say she is insane
It is all she can be now
From everything they did to her
