Jealousy is the color of brackish water,

Clouding one’s vision until a person is blind to all reason.

It smells rancid like spoiled milk,

Pervading one’s nostrils until it overpowers the person it’s affecting.

It looks shadowy like a ghost who keeps reappearing,

Haunting one with his or her own envy.

It tastes bitter like day’s old black coffee spilling down one’s throat,

Boiling in a person’s body.

It feels aching like a trapped monster inside someone’s stomach,

Scraping away until it is a hollow shell.

Jealousy sounds as indignant as the harsh words uttered by the envious of heart to those they covet most.
