Love is Pain, but Pain isn't to love.
I too am wise,
no love has touched so profound,
yet scarred so deep
I may have been blinded by false love,
but tis’ not a sin
and though my heart sinks to the bottom of my toes,
I try to confront this pain,
the only way I know - forgiveness.
If I forgive easily, it is not to run back into the arms of a heartbreaker,
it is to forgive myself for having such hatred once upon a time.
If I forgive, I know karma will work all on its own
and my hands will stay clean.
Rather flourishing my head with frustration and anger will drive me crazy,
instead, I tame myself.
Mother, I’ve not yet experienced many deceiving, rotten worlds like you have,
but merely one heart break,
a heart break which over time will fix itself,
to soon find its way back on the trail that leads to happiness.
And I confess that I am scared to give myself entirely once again,
but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to take
to see the same smile you wear each day
I understand you mother,
but your words of consolation will solely bring more chaos,
which is why forgiveness is best,
it will enable me to move forward, rather than trace back my steps
but still I thank you for being the affectionate mother you are,
for standing by my side when my world drops in the span of a second,
and my heart deteriorates like ice against fire
because without you, I’d have no one to express such pain to,
but I will remain strong because one day I will break free from this misery.
