Not Good Enough for Death
Ring ring ring!
Ring ring ring!
Ring ring ring!
The sound echoes in my empty mind
I ignore it and let the machine catch it
BEEP!
It's my friend
He's called 12 times now
Left 7 messages
This time he says it's his last
But he'll call tomorrow
He always does
Yet here I'll sit
Curled up in my chair
Waiting for the Midnight Train
To come take me away
From this cold, awful place
It took my friends
It took my love
Am I not good enough
to ride the Midnight Train?
To let it take
My life?

A very interesting piece...
I'm glad to hear how you got your inspiration. I love the kind where it just comes to the poet. I like how you called it the Midnight Train, and I like the story which revolves around that.
