Penelope, poor child
Could never get a look
Always had her brain turned on;
Nose always in a book.
Compare, converse, comprehend, complain,
All of my efforts were in vain!
I can do only so much, my hands are tied
I can only give so much – I sent those suitors with pride!
Never a pretty one, that little duck,
She was no Helen; didn’t give a
Refuse my gifts and offers too?
Let’s see the next time I try to help you!
Ungrateful child, loveless fool,
Be gracious I didn’t you send you Paris…such a tool.
