Passion
As He struggled with His cross, the world wept.
As He struggled with His cross, the world changed.
For as He walked to His own death, the King began cleansing the world of sin.
Each blood stained rock and whip used to scar Him saved thousands.
Each laceration left on his swollen body told a story.
The spit of many, hitting His body, the crown of thorns burrowing through His skull,
Each nail that pierced His skin, continued the story.
The story of the Lord, the Messiah, the Saviour.
The story of Jesus Christ, God's only son, sent to us to save us.
And so, He did.
