Ode to My basketball

My mother gave me a basketball
On my 4th birthday.
When I had it I felt the power
Of shooting it from my roof.
It was the most nicest ball
I have ever seen.
It’s gray with a nike logo
On the side.
Everyday, I use it after
I went to school.
I wish I still had that
Ball now at the age of 14.
That ball was like a son
To me.
