Segregation
Who are we?
Are we not all alike?
Black, Asian, Hispanic, White
Our complexions may be different
But inside we are all the same
But though this is known
We still play the same game
We separate ourselves
Conform to the cliques
But years ago
This is what we wanted to fix
Equality was fought for
Integretion was the need
But look around now
We defy those we succeed
Was their struggle for nothing?
Was this all just a joke?
Did today's generation
Overlook was Martin Luther King Jr. spoke?
So we all may say,
"Yes, we are now 'integrated'"
But the truth of the matter is...
We are all still SEGREGATED
