All the World's a Stage
It’s been said before, that I am you
that I am the world
I am blank and black
my darkness is the end of you
or the beginning
or the end of the middle
my darkness is your fear
or perhaps your goal
or your purpose
You look at me with jaded eyes
eyes with philosophies and judgments about me
but why judge me?
i am faultless
you tread on me, stomp, dance, sing cry, and
love
on me
i give you my life for yours
i am blank
for you
fill me
Use my lights to create a place
to begin a journey
my burning lights that flicker with joy when
someone loves under them
that weep when you weep
and shine with you bow
Use my crimson cloth to give you comfort
hid you from the world
or show you to it
let me protect you form the fourth wall of judgment
You glow when you are with me
and I glow when I’m with you
Watch me, for I will become what you want me to be
i am putty
i am art
i am shadowed linen with no easel
i stand on my own
but I have nothing without you
And when my lights go dim
it will be your doing
you will be gone
and I will wait for another
