I Am Who I Am
I am a girl struggling to find her way
I wonder how my life will end up
I see liars and thieves, but I refuse to be a part of them
I hear a thousand voices calling my name all at once
I want to let my inner self finally break free
I am a rebel before watchful eyes
I pretend to not care about things that mean the world to me
I believe that someday I will wake up and realize who I really am
I touch my chest and feel for my heartbeat, but it grows fainter
I feel for my heartbeat again, and this time it grows stronger
I worry that I will give up before I find what I am looking for
I cry because of my lies, words, and actions of the past
I am a girl struggling to find her way
