Unrequited Love
Somewhere,
Enveloped by warm blood,
Lies a world with emotions taking over,
Free spirited, floating,
But inside of this perfect land,
Is a hole so wide and so large,
That it can swallow up a nation,
Let alone a child,
I stare out the window and picture your face,
Then jump because the vision is so clear,
I shed a tear because I wish you were with me,
But hold back the sobs because I feel you can hear them,
Some people can sense fear,
I thought I could sense love,
But my mind flashes back to your smile,
The light in your eyes that suddenly appears every time I look at you,
And I wonder where I went wrong,
How long will it take me to see the message,
Hidden in between your gestures?
