Every day I am forced to breathe
the remains of what I’ve been.
And as the ashes circle me
I lose the will to bleed.
Every day the
dreams get nearer
and coax me out of this world.
They pull me, gently whisper
and make my mind their hostage.
Sometimes I think that I can’t see
the faces of who I’ve been
As the masks dance around me
I wonder which one I should wear.
