I don't want you to know who I am
I don’t want you to know who I am
So I will shy away from the specifics
In the dim of twilight I await
For you to come into my sight
Something about you gets me tongue tied
Every word you utter is like a song
Butterflies arise
But, I can not compare
For, we are opposites
You may think I’m losing my mind
But who’s to say I’m not
It’s better if we keep this a secret
As we sit together
Envisioning the proverbial sunrise
The earthly matter upon which we dwell
Only for this moment in time
As the truth arises as fast as the butterflies
You see that it’s all a lie
The things that I say
The way in which you believe I feel
I was never out to get you
It just may seem that way
Heartbreak shouldn’t trouble you too grand
I was never yours to begin with
