Sitting in class as the lights go out
Wondering what's going on.
The lights come back
And the clock's moving fast
Something is definitely wrong
Maybe it's a sign from God
Telling me I have to live on
Life goes too fast
And I don't want to miss it
So I speak for the first time
And am astounded by my courage
The clock reads 1:15
But it's really only 9:20
And it's still moving fast
I finally state an opinion
And people debate
But somebody's got to yell at the new kid
God send me an angel
To help guide me through
It's become a whole day
In the span of twenty minutes
Yeah, life does move fast
