On the Street Corner MAG
The correlation on the corner of compensation
Is written on the café walls, reckoning calls you
Beckoning with the slight scent of temptation
But you can resist the tantalization,
As you turned your back on the back way
Of intimate reconciliation.
And you cannot explain the reasoning behind
Why my hair still glistens in the glare of the sunlight
And I cannot explain why hatred
Never felt as affectionate as it does now.
I cannot allow colorful allegations
To invade the dialogue of this calm conversation
But every breath of mine threatens
My barely perfect composure and exposure
To her to tamper with an even inhalation
The correlation of reimbursement
Is drawn out on the café walls in vain,
For reckoning calls you beckoning
With temptation in hopelessness again
And the finalization of her first dance invades my last chance with you
But you could never figure out the fleeting reason why
My smile sometimes shines in the spot of the sunlight,
And I cannot explain why hatred
Never felt so affectionate as it does now.
So let the finishing good-bye commence
Though I forfeit all relations logic and good sense,
Because I cannot clarify why hatred never felt
As affectionate as it did then.
Stationed at the corner of Jackson and Grand
The fondness might be fading and making amends
To my craving for compensation
And you cannot reason why my fading smile
Hardly lingers much in your eye anymore.
But I have been reassured that it is okay
For you and your guiltless girl are just losers, anyway,
But one day I will wonder once again
Why hatred never felt as affectionate as it
did then.
