I felt the grass
rub against my feet
they say grass
is everywhere
but not like
at the lake
it has a different
feeling
perhaps it’s where
I am
maybe it's not
the greenness
but the memories
in my hand

I go to a place on a lake during the summer. One thing I always enjoy doing is running barefoot through the grass and seeing the lake right in front of me. :)
