Outshined, Always by Another One
Does anyone know that feeling?
The feeling of finally being under the light
Of being special
Then the feeling of it taken away
Some say it’s selfish
Others say its finding meaning
Some say it’s an achievement
Others say it’s fair game
After a while of this happening
After a while you will get use to it
After a while you will go after anything to give you meaning
After a while you wont even know it’s happening
Some will lose sight on what they want
Others will still try to claw their way back
Some will lose friendships
Others will give up and fall
Outshined
Always by another one
It doesn’t matter how hard you work
Someone else will be under that light
Some will let it happen
Others will fight for it
Some will find another angle
Others will try all
There will always be someone better
There will always be light taken away
There will always be competition
There will always be someone outshined
