February 17, 2023
purple.
soft.
inquisitive things.

testing warm february air.

There is a small house near mine that has crocuses in their front yard, and I always look forward to the day that I pass it and see the flowers open up for the first time. Crocuses have always been a beautiful and poetic flower to me. I love the image of a flower waiting patiently under snow, or cold ground, slowly sprouting and blooming at the first sign of spring (or in this case, unnaturally warm weather).
