This is my youth
The afternoon sun beat down on us.
We measured the waves at the beach
We did our research along the shoreline.
Listening to the waves lapping on the sand;
Looking at the happy faces of friends;
I felt incredibly happy and tranquil.
I crouched down,
To touch the wet sand with my hands;
To touch the rising seawater;
To feel the sea breeze blowing on my face;
To feel the sun shining on my skin.
Listening to the laughter of my friends;
Looking at the gray sky gradually turn to blue,
This is the youth,
This is my youth.

This poem was written when I was on my way back home after the field trip. This was the first time when I really felt that I am experiencing my youth, that I am currently at the best time of my life.
