Are We Really Different?
Everyone says they're different from everyone,
But is that true, are we different?
We might look different, but we got here the same.
We might have been conceived differently,
But does that make us any different?
Does how we got here have to define us?
Do we have to be separated by skin color?
Does that make us different?
We fight for the same cause; we fight for freedom.
That freedom may be different for everyone,
It's still freedom, freedom that can be taken away.
Freedom that has gotten some of us killed,
Freedom that shouldn't be taken for granted,
Because freedom is a gift, a favor, a debt.
That one day, we will have to pay in blood.
One day our freedom will be stripped away.
Some people deserve it, but most people won't.
Most people earned their freedom 100 years ago,
They don't deserve to have it ripped from their hands.
But the question is, Do you deserve your freedom?
Do you deserve to have this freedom given to you?
Because I know, But do you?
