The Part Of Me That Died
The worst thing about being hurt
isn't the pain you go through
It's not the lesson you learn
Or the hate that brews
You might wonder what I refer to
If you've been hurt enough
Then this is for you
Pause what you're doing and stay tuned
It's not the pain
Instead, it's losing a part of you
Where your heart is so drained
That is no longer feels pain
This might seem blis
If you aren't hurt
But don't mistake this
It would tear you apart
I find that after this happens
You can't go back
You no longer feel
A part of you just snaps
Yes you still smile
Yes you still cry
but in the end, it doesn't matter
A part of you has already died
