The Strength of a Cloud
The clouds frown down, weeping with me
Filled with their own tears, suffering, ashamed.
Simple and diluted, together, we shed dignity
One drop at a time- unconstrained
Tears shove their way through till they break ground
I seldom make a sound; with patience, I endure
Head hanging low; a dog abused coming back for more
The pain may subside, but the memory never leaves
So now, in the blue hour, surrounded by grief
I can only hope for freedom; spiritual relief
I can’t take it, let me go.
