Rain
I couldn't stop laughing when the rain came.
Locked outside as it fell in sheets
drenching the Earth in tears.
Sitting under the cover, wind sweeping water into my face.
Fat lot of good the porch did.
The world was grey and dim
but I couldn't couldn't laughing at the absurdity of it all.
Completely and utterly drenched,
just about soaked to the bone
yet laughter came in fits
of warm comfort in a cold world.
