I won't forget,
The welcome tone of your voice,
The subtle softness to your words.
I won't forget,
The way you could soothe me,
Make me calm when I felt hollow.
I won't forget,
The way you looked at me,
A fondness too pure to put into words.
And I won't forget,
The way you laughed,
How your eyes shined in joy.
And of course I won't forget,
The way you hugged me when you said bye,
The way my tears flowed.
I will never forget you,
You can't be forgotten,
I won't let you go
But of course I had to.
