In the Land of Light
In the Land of Light
You shall see such a sight
Of fountains overflowing with pure gold
A castle; with as many people and animals as it can hold
CLANG! Do you hear that sound?
A sound….. Of knights clashing swords in the battle ground
Thrusts, slashes, and volleys of cuts are exchanged
O, a battle has been arranged!
Walk in the fields of the Land of Light; you shall see animals frolicking
This indeed is worth acknowledging
Do you not hear the ocean
Turbulence ironing the wood-planked docks in a quickening motion?
Prosperous, History, and Authority; merchants they are
Journeying to islands near and far
Let us leave this place
Let us head to the village Toil; come, we must make haste!
Do you smell the foul air?
Do you see the dull, brown huts; life is not fair
The villagers; they work day and night
Ching! Ching! Pounding at pieces of metal with all their might
Smoke is drifting across the sky
The women of Toil are burning pieces of metal; that is why
Let us move along now; one last thing you need to perceive
Before you leave
Do you see the ground darker than volcanic rock? Do you see the blood-red sky and the dismal and downcast trees?
This is the Land of Darkness; a place whose warnings everyone heeds
In the castle lives the Lord of Darkness, a dreadful king
He hates every kind and good thing
GRRRRRRRR! Do you hear that growling?
Do you see the black-furred wolf; its green eyes gleaming?
Quickly, we must escape
From this landscape!
I hope you have spent your time well
In a place where kind people dwell
In the Land of Light!
