Desperate, lonely, wealthy, mysterious, obsessive
Son of Henry Gatz
Who loves (the idea of) Daisy, his own money, and partying
Who feels alone, completely obsessed with Daisy, and a loss of love
Who fears intimacy, poverty, authenticity, and the fact that Daisy does not love him
Who realizes that he should tell Nick the truth about his life
Who would like to see his wealth increase, Daisy fall in love with him, and Daisy admit to Tom that she does not love him
