Solecism
Solecism haunts me
So I do not speak
I marinade in an ocean of melancholy
Swimming until I drown
Until only silence remains
Dancing alone in a dimly lit room
Scream
Don't bite your tongue
It'll only make you bleed
Let it pour out of you like rain from a stormy cloud
Speak until you lose all notion of sound
Write until your fingers shake with agony
Listen until you cannot tolerate the painfully melodic tune of the universe one more second
Can the forest hear my screams over the buzzing sound of life
Has the sea opened its ears to my cries
Will the moon look down on my hysterical being in pity
Do I even make a sound
Or am I simply background noise
Can you hear it
My plea
For reprieve
