The Way I Feel
You cannot know,
The way I feel.
I want to tell you.
I try to tell you.
Yet you look annoyed,
When I see your face.
So I feel inclined
To forget these thoughts,
Knowing I will never
Be able to express
To you how my heart beats
When you come talk with me,
How my pulse quickens,
And my face blushes.
You cannot know,
The way I feel.
I feel like a million
Little fireworks set off
At once, exploding
For you, and just you.
When you send me a smile
I feel the grass gleams greener
And the sky fills with more blue.
You cannot know,
The way I feel.
And all I really ask for,
Is that you feel the same way,
All while knowing, you don’t.
