Money Could Buy Happiness
Grandpa smiles at us, talks as if he’s fine
He asks about us and how we are
I wish I could tell him the real truth
They say that money can’t buy happiness,
but if someone had a cure for cancer
I think that would bring a lot of smiles
Grandpa’s cancer has brought him through a lot,
And he always has a smile for each of us
But I wonder how he feels about his diagnosis
They say that money can’t buy happiness,
but if someone had a cure for cancer
I think that would bring a lot of smiles
Does he break down when he’s alone like I do?
He is stronger than me, of course
So maybe Grandpa doesn’t cry all that much
They say that money can’t buy happiness,
but if someone had a cure for cancer
I think that would bring a lot of smiles
The silent tears, the heartbreak, the sadness
Maybe those without a loved one
Don’t know that money can buy happiness
They say that money can’t buy happiness,
but if someone had a cure for cancer
I think that would bring a lot of smiles

Inspired the old quote,
"Money can't buy happiness."
And by Grandpa - stay strong, we love you!
