The Blue Fabric
The blue fabric of your dress flaps in the breeze
As you run, playing make-believe.
Your smile couldn't be any bigger than on those days that you were friends with the world.
The blue fabric of your dress is calm
But this time you are not make-believing for fun
Your smile seems so real on these days that it covers up
The blue fabric is flapping once again
As I now look up at you
The rope pull tight against your neck, holding you up.
What happened to make-believe and the smile?
