They Say I Look Like You
They say I look like you
They ask if I’m your cousin, your brother
Some even think we’re twins.
It’s funny, because I don’t see it. You don’t see it.
I wish I could have the same smile you have, the same teeth, same eyebrows, same nose, same ears.
Everything about you makes me look pale in comparison.
Makes me look dumb and ugly.
From the way you move, to the way you talk.
Your energy
Your charisma
Your way of being.
They say I look like you
Which is false, I wish I would look like you
The same as you wish you could look like me.
They often ask me if we’re twins,
My answer to that is always yes.
It is funny when we start making out in front of people who think we’re relatives,
I laugh as I sense the aura around us, the feeling of discomfort.
